I have attached the following files:

1) patch for Android Manifest
2) ExportService class that goes in package cx.hell.android.pdfview
3) Simple starter activity that demonstrates how the export service should be used

The implementation is the most simple one, all pages get exported as PNG files with the page size dimensions. Most likely I will add some features (e.g. different dimensions, zoom level, particular page, etc.) later on (as needed) but I think that the current version is enough to start the discussion.

Basically I am interested could this feature be added to the free version of APV?

Please note that permission to write to external storage is required now, which wasn't the case earlier. There is a workaround - APV could write the images to it's own 'folder'. In that case mentioned application permission is not required, but that opens another issues:

Files should be word-readable (not a big deal since they already are on external storage)
Who deletes the generated files and when?
 - in case external app does that, it has to have file permissions to do that
- there is a open possibility that external app could bloat APV folder size by generating a load of exported images

Looking forward to hear your thoughts.

Kind regards, Viktor.

Thanks!  What kind of use cases are you thinking about for this?

Someone mentioned earlier generating document thumbnails. I implemented as I need to overlay some things over the 'PDF'.

Regards, Viktor.
