Teacher Organisations in Andhra Pradesh State formed a joint
action organisation to solve teachers problems. Its name is JACTO
i.e. Joint Action Committee of Teacher Organisations.

Due to State Govt policy on education the Govt education
system is becoming weak day by day. Govt is not ready solve problems
of scholols and teachers. A number of teacher posts in schools are
kept vacant. No appointment of teachers, no transfers, no promotions.
Teachers organisations brought these issues before the govt. Govt says
problems are genuine. But nothing is done.

Keeping all the situations in mind the JACTO gave a call for
indefinite strike from 22nd of October. Thus it will start tomorrow.
It is to bring the govt attention to solve problems.
