hi sir,

please clarify

an employee joined from Group 2 service on 20/02/2012 and he went on EL from 31/12/2013 to 10/01/2014. what his probation date.did his probation date extend or not. what rules if extend his probation

As you said that he went on E.L. only for ten days or so.  If it is so, His probation will be declared after 2 years and 10 days, subject to other fulfillment.  For Rule position, even you can see them as I am little busy in some other service matter pertaining to one MRO in Kurnool Dist., please

yes any type of leave except CL shall extend probation

Hi,
The probation shall commence from the date of joining, if he/she was on duty for 60 days without break, i.e., other than CL & general/public holidays.  A direct recruited employee shall be placed on probation for a period 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Rule 16 of APS&SS Rules, 1996.  The Leave, other than CL, availed shall not count for probation.  Hence, the probation has to be postponed.  FR 9(6).  The duty period should be calculated as per FR 9(18). The first Annual grade increment shall be released, if he is on duty on the 1st of the month in which the increment falls and monetary benefit will be allowed from the date of reporting after availing the eligible leave.  The second annual grade increment shall be sanctioned on the normal date of increment but the monetary benefit of that increment should be allowed from the following day of declaration of probation.
