Services integrated in the OpenSource

Hi all,

I'm adapting the OpenSource and under 'SearchFragment.java' there is a query for: 

GenericUrl url = new GenericUrl("http://webservices.aptoide.com/webservices/3/listSearchApks/" + searchQuery + "/options=(repos=geniatechapps)/json");

Can I / Should I use this for production? What is the status of the service - it is not OpenSource right? Why then is it in the OpenSource? 

Would really appreciate your help understanding this.
