Hello,

I just removed 300+ packages from an integration aptly repo where only a handful have been copied into other repos. After running aptly db cleanup I reclaimed a few hundred MB of disk space back however I was expecting more like 10-20 GB of space to be reclaimed. (They're big packages.)

Doing a find for the package name prefix in the pool directory shows many, if not all, the packages I formerly deleted from the repo with 'aptly remove <repo_name> <package_query>'. How can I remove these packages from the pool directory without messing up the aptly db or directory structure?

Thanks.

Jeff

Figured it out. I needed to republish the repo to get it to unlink the files I removed and have them purged. 'aptly publish update <distrobution> <prefix>'

Yes, exactly, published repository counts as "reference" to package in the pool
