1. aptly does not generate deb-packages. It is only used to generate an archive to serve deb packages to apt clients. (aptly imports debs and pubishes these)
2. Never heard of it, but you can use `fpm` [0] to build a deb-file from a aptly build-dir.
3. Do you mean

https://github.com/sstephenson/rbenv ) and the ruby builder for it, to save me from this hassle. This, I run in an VM or container as my build environment.
