Hello.

Interoperability in Healthcare and Physical Therapy is the topic of our next Tech SIG Open Mic night on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 8:30p EST. Details to join the call are provided below.Sign up now by marking your calendar to join us! 


Dr. Nicole Stout is one of our Tech SIG members and will lead the discussion on Interoperability during the first 1/2 hour of our call. Read more about Nicole below. This is a great opportunity to either 'get up to speed' or add a depth of knowledge related to this very important and relevant topic.  

 

An initial agenda is provided below for review. Even so, please send any topics you would like to add to the agenda and share with the group. After the focus portion of the call and the agenda items below, we will go 'around the group' for very brief updates on additional IT related topics which you are involved.

1)    Interoperabilty in Healthcare and Physical Therapy: What is it and how do we make it happen. An interactive discussion and update


Dr. Nicole Stout, PT, DPT is an experienced clinical researcher and healthcare consultant. She has a doctorate in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Institute of Health Professions and a Post Grad Certificate in Health Policy from George Washington University. 


Currently, Nicole is a Partner with 3e Elegant Solutions, which is focused on strategic technology consulting and implementation of advanced technology practices. She works in a consultancy role identifying innovative health delivery system policy and marketing solutions for providers through the use of health IT data. Dr. Stout is experienced in using complex data analytics to prospectively promote quality improvement in clinical care. 


Dr. Stout is a member of the HPA; the Catalyst Tech SIG and an elected member of the APTA Board of Directors. She has authored and co-authored over 30 peer-review publications, several book chapters and is the co-author of the book '100 Questions and Answers about Lymphedema.'

She serves as a medical expert for public media outlets including the Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, and others.
