Ariel - I had the silliest grin reading this while at work. SO MUCH POOP.
Sarah - I think that sneeze is like licking things to claim them as your own. It's totally natural.
Leah - Any other MEI peeps go with you to the conference? and what book are you reading? SO GLAD you have dishware. And, so many Memz on that futon... ow oww
My weekend was SUH GOOD.
My event on Tuesday KICKED ASS! I just want to copy/paste it for my reception. I wish I could fly all of these vendors out to VA they were so wonderful and the food was DELISH. The signature cocktail was made from a Porter and Sparkling wine because we didn't have a liquor license, and it was YUMMY. I had maybe three, oops. And I was the A/V girl and went back to my techie roots to work the sound board. BOO-YAH.
I also have a friend who's my age at work! Her name is Lisa Fugelo from Philadelphia. City of Brotherly Love? Well, Virginia is for Lovers.... I hope she doesn't realize I'm girl crushin on her so much. She used to work at Make-a-Wish and told me all about BAT KID in San Francisco. (she didn't plan it, but her MaW peeps were chatting about it) Seriously, look him up. and Mehul posted a photo of Bat Kid's Batman-mobile (New Girl reference) which was a Lamborghini.
Saturday Ben and I went out to dinner on Mercer Island with friends for two birthdays, and we played cards against humanity, and an epic game of "Avalon" which I highly recommend. Stayed up late to watch SNL (GAGA OOH LA LA) and then went sleepy bye.
Sunday I went for a 7-mile hike! IN THE RAIN! My friends weren't prepared, so they got soaked. I had my trusty rain coat and boots. So sucky, but it felt so epic! I ran like a mofo for the last mile down and felt like a badass lolloping down the mountain.
Got some sad news this Monday morning. My mom's mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer on Friday and is in surgery right this moment. They'll be able to tell her what stage it's in. Please send your thoughts and prayers! I'm going to call Nana later this evening when she's home. This is more than ten years after she fought off breast cancer, so I'm hoping she'll stay strong!! I may fly home for thanksgiving if things look not-so-good. My mom's hopeful but sad.
Love you ladies! You are all my ROCKS!
