Hello lovahs!

BEST NEWS: Leah and I are moving in together in COURTHOUSE next weekend. Pooping my pants excited.

OK so this weekend was soooo busy (Courtenay I'm so sorry I haven't called you back yet, I'm the worst I shall call you tonight!).

Friday night -- nothing crazy cos we had to get up at 6AM to go to a wedding in NY in the morning.

Saturday -- got up at 6AM, drove to NY, barely made it to the 1:30PM ceremony in time. Long ceremony. Then went to Hotel, napped for a hot second until reception at 6PM. Reception fun!!! Much dancing and merriment. It was Chris' old high school friend who was getting murried. Chris has changed A LOT since high school (more muscles, taller, much more facial hair) and he hadn't seen some of these peeps for 6 years. One of his old friends didn't believe it was him and she ID'ed him. lol. It was a cool reception at Mark Twain's old estate. We got drunkypants.

Sunday -- slept in, drove back to DC, we were supa hungover and struggling. We get delayed due to traffic/other janX. Get back at 5:30 and my coworker texts me for a dinner with Jack Sim who is the founder of the World Toilet Organization. He is a ridiculous human and said penis like 5 times during the dinner. He's making a Bollywood film about pooping and is trying to make Brown Friday a thing (hint: it's about poop). He's crazy but that's what you need when the issue is so great. THERE ARE 2.6 BILLION PEOPLE IN THE WORLD WITHOUT A TOILET. Very interesting dinner. Went home, had the creepiest cab driver who grilled me and asked me how much I paid in taxes, cleaned the shiz out of my apartment and pass out.

Yah man! CAN'T WAIT FOR Y'ALL TO VISIT OUR NEW FLAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,
ariel

aaaaah apartment!! when do yall move in?? and also my sister, Rachael, is living in Arlington until Christmas, and wants to hang out with you guys. i gave her your numbers, but hers is 901-569-5644

and im so glad you went to a dinner where the main topic of conversation was penises and poop. i love it.

Friday: hung out with the parents for dinner, and then headed out to meet some friends at bars. sneezed on a cute boy. way to go me.

Saturday: went into work. blerg. stupid architects are not on top of their shit, so i had to go in on the weekend because they put us behind. shits. Was only at work for 3 hours or so, though. went to TJ Maxx afterwards and got some winter running clothes! sooo much to choose from, and i got 5 things for $100. woohoo!  A friend of mine was back in town visiting, so she and some friends came over, and then we headed out to a couple of house parties. It was fun, but i was tired and ended up going home early.

Sunday: that friend from out of town had crashed on our couch, so we decided to cook brunch. fancy pancakes concocted by the roommates (they are magicians when it comes to just throwing something together without a recipe. It will always end up tasting like food for gods), bacon, sweet potato hash, and mimosas. YUM. My out of town friend is a photographer and is currently working on a project where she takes portraits of people in black and white and then stitches designs in color thread onto the prints. they are really cool. so she used us as subjects that afternoon. that evening, i had my usual sunday dinner and visit with my parents which is always nice.

that's all folks!

Ariel has feces on the brain... I think she had poo-issues during childhood that never quite went away...

Sarah OMG Rachael! Once we move we will def play with her!

My weekend was the boringest. Friday went to the MEI Annual Conference all day (I used to intern there). Then I was pooped so went home and chilled. Saturday morning I drove to my g-rents old house to get furniture/other goodies for our new place (they moved & downsized & are trying to get rid of things). WASSSUP DISHWARE!? Then went home to Baltimore to pack all of the things so that M&D can just drive it in their van next weekend. Out for a night of drinking & friends & "choppy seas" was there unexpectedly. He was super nice, and I promised to read his book (which I almost finished already cause of insomnia). I don't know why I do these things. Sunday I brunched with friends, felt ill, then went home to pass out a bit, then ran errands and finished packing. Took apart my futon.

This is BEST NEWS! I'm so happy for you guys movin' on up!

Ariel - I had the silliest grin reading this while at work. SO MUCH POOP.

Sarah - I think that sneeze is like licking things to claim them as your own. It's totally natural.

Leah - Any other MEI peeps go with you to the conference? and what book are you reading? SO GLAD you have dishware. And, so many Memz on that futon... ow oww

My weekend was SUH GOOD.

My event on Tuesday KICKED ASS! I just want to copy/paste it for my reception. I wish I could fly all of these vendors out to VA they were so wonderful and the food was DELISH. The signature cocktail was made from a Porter and Sparkling wine because we didn't have a liquor license, and it was YUMMY. I had maybe three, oops. And I was the A/V girl and went back to my techie roots to work the sound board. BOO-YAH.

I also have a friend who's my age at work! Her name is Lisa Fugelo from Philadelphia. City of Brotherly Love? Well, Virginia is for Lovers.... I hope she doesn't realize I'm girl crushin on her so much. She used to work at Make-a-Wish and told me all about BAT KID in San Francisco. (she didn't plan it, but her MaW peeps were chatting about it) Seriously, look him up. and Mehul posted a photo of Bat Kid's Batman-mobile (New Girl reference) which was a Lamborghini.

Saturday Ben and I went out to dinner on Mercer Island with friends for two birthdays, and we played cards against humanity, and an epic game of "Avalon" which I highly recommend. Stayed up late to watch SNL (GAGA OOH LA LA) and then went sleepy bye.

Sunday I went for a 7-mile hike! IN THE RAIN! My friends weren't prepared, so they got soaked. I had my trusty rain coat and boots. So sucky, but it felt so epic! I ran like a mofo for the last mile down and felt like a badass lolloping down the mountain.

Got some sad news this Monday morning. My mom's mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer on Friday and is in surgery right this moment. They'll be able to tell her what stage it's in. Please send your thoughts and prayers!  I'm going to call Nana later this evening when she's home. This is more than ten years after she fought off breast cancer, so I'm hoping she'll stay strong!! I may fly home for thanksgiving if things look not-so-good. My mom's hopeful but sad.

Love you ladies! You are all my ROCKS!
