Mine wasn't the most exciting... But I wanted to get the ball rolling so I could hear about everything AWESOME that's going on with you ladies! And also to share this.

Soooo on Friday night I laaazed around, instead of going to a house party with Jake (ex). Making good decisions (for once). Saturday I welcomed home my AMAZING roommie squariel (Gmail just autocorrected that to "rookie squirrel") and then went to the park for a picnic with Saide and Michelle (and others). Whee, day drinking! We went out that night, and after eating fish and chips, realized how old we are because we were all yawning at 11... And then EASTER! I spent it a) recovering from food poisoning b) spending my tax return c) cleaning my room and d) going to dinner with Ariel.

LURVE,

Sack

This brings Talcum powder: just add water to a whole new level.
Ariel needs to get her shit together so that she can graduate from rookie squirrel to professional squirrel.
food poisoning??

apologizing in advance for the length of this saga.

Basically every weekend is turning into a crazy busy weekend. Which is fun! but is spending an entire saturday netflixing too much to ask? i mean really. I havent been on netflix in 3 weeks. look at me being social and shit. introvert sarah is going to lose her shit some time soon.

anyway, for this weekend's sexcapades, i have to back up a weekend.

So highlight of last weekend was going on a is-this-a-hangout-or-is-this-a-date date. I've been playing indoor soccer for a month or two, and there's this guy, Miles, on the team that i've been kinda crushing on. We'd been trying to hang out together to go play frisbee in the park for a while but he's always been working.  Finally, last saturday worked out. we were gonna frisbee and then get dinner. So leading up to saturday, i had no idea if we were just hanging out or if it was going to be a date. He called me partway through saturday to change plans in favor for this cookout thing with his friends and family. he made it sound like it was going to be a big crowd and stuff. well... i show up. it's at his parents house. and literally it is just his parents, his brother, and his brothers family. insert minor internal freak out. but, it ended up being really nice actually. his family is super chill, and we played ultimate frisbee in their back yard and then hung out on the porch. I think i was fine with it all because again i didnt know if it was a date. so there was much less pressure.

after a while, miles and i left to go get drinks and had a really good time. so remember, when i have a type for blonde, skinny, slightly nerdy and a little awkward, runner/soccer types usually with a polish last name? this is miles. this is miles exactly. while at drinks, i was leaning toward thinking it was a date because of all the flirting that began once we left his parents. ive talked to him about it since, and apparently he didnt really know if it was a date either. but it all worked out because we had been talking about how we've both fenced and also that he had this really cool old star chart at home. so he said something like this, "so all good things come in threes. we have fencing and my star chart as two good reasons for you to hang with me at my place. we need another." this was where i realized that was dropping a line and that yes, this was a date. so i said "does me being pretty attracted to you count?" i think "hell yes" might have been the response. we high tailed it out of there to his house. didnt even make it through his front door before clothes were being removed.

so there's that update.
I saw him again last week after soccer, and then again this past friday. he and i met up with some of my friends downtown and had a nice night of shooting pool, drunk people watching, and general merriment. i got home saturday morning and ate breakfast on my front porch. it was a GLORIOUS day, and my new apartment is within walking distance of a liquor store. my friend molly came over, and we walked over for mimosa supplies. we spent the next few hours chilling in my front yard getting some sun and a little drunk. some of our other friends were hosting an adult easter egg hunt later that day, so the day drinking continued. i crashed early that night after drunk watching Robin Hood: Men it Tights.  Sunday is chock full of churchy, family eastery things. but the weekend ended nicely with incest, people dying at weddings, Jon's who know nothing, and Khaleesi badass-ness.

POWDERITA PWEDNESDAYS!

I'm going to fill in on my two amazing weekends, since we skipped last week!

Last weekend, went to Seattle because Ben's parents were visiting. We all came in on Friday and converged on Ben, like OMG NEED MY BEN TIME THOUGH.

Saturday-Sunday we drove all the way down to Portlandia! Saturday Market, Voodoo Doughnuts, Stumptown Coffeebike ride along the river, tram ride to see the city from above, and Powell's Bookstore! Lots of weird people, and weed everywhere! We got Potus some catnip, heh heh...

We also hiked around the Columbia Valley Gorge on the way back - beautiful veil falls, and another hike called Beacon Rock. Definitely want to go back when we have more time.

Saw the season finale of HIMYM (they waited for me to watch it together) as well as the "purple wedding" episode of Game of Thrones, so they evened out each other as bad/good episodes.

This past weekend, Ben came to visit meeee yaay so happy. He got to meet my two new mommies, Rachel and Diana (they're an older lesbian couple and Diana went to VT with my dad). We went to this Spanish tapas restaurant and got serenated in Spanish opera (swoon).

We rented a car and drove up the California coast, taking highway 1 through the Golden Gate state park all the way up north, and then turned east and went to Sonoma and Napa for some tasty wine tastings. It's all vines on vines on vines out there: hills and hills of vines. Spent the night in Napa, doing a little bar hopping for dinner. Ben has a pinched nerve so sexy times were a no-go... feeling pretty cock blocked by nature. And also there's just stress on stress in our lives right now.

sorry for the long update, but you know me, I just can't sit still! (Queue Footloose music) AWW FYP I MISS IT SO MUCH.

SARAH! SPOILERS! Ariel hasn't watched this season yet, ya bum. And one thing I've learned... NATURE ALWAYS TRYNA BE COCK BLOCKIN (except in Sarah's case with this cute boy Miles)! Your life is amazing, Kaity, and I will be visiting yo ass soon so I can get in on the West Coast fun times & sunshine.

And to follow the trend... last weekend I went on a date Friday (with a dude who is way too into himself and who I am not trying to see again). The rest of the time was family shit (starting with S or Cs that sound like sss). Sister in town! Ceramic glazing (I made a fruit bowl). Sippin' suds with my cousin (head chef at this awesome Baltimore restaurant/bar). Sunday = Seder.

I didnt spoil anything! I was just commenting on the apparent fad in Westeros is that if there isnt at least one death, it's a dull wedding. Didnt Ser Jorah teach us that at Khaleesi's wedding in season one?

HAI GUYS! Rookie squirrel here. Kaity - I won't be here July 4th :( - I'll have just got back from Spain/Amsterdam and probs going straight to NY to hang with Chris and his fam! Grrrrrrr I want Kaity timeeeee!!!!!

Sarah, loooove the sexcapades, woot woot soccer Miles!! Kaity I love hearing your west coast exploringgg! PORTLAND is my dream city. and Squeah, powdered alcohol. YES let's have a never-ending supply at our apt.

I miss you guyzzzzzz!!!!!!!!! So yeah I just got back from Burkina Faso and Ethiopia and 11 flights in 14 days haha YIKESS. It was an amazing, life-changing trip. I love the work we're doing my goodness, it's fired me up!!!!! I saw three of our projects and saw the people that day in, day out, have to walk MILES to collect their water. And 99.9% of the time, it's the women that are responsible for doing this. So it's the women who can't go to school, can't earn an income, can't care for their family... it makes me crazyyyyy. Also I saw some of the water and latrine systems we're installing in schools which is super important too!! When water and sanitation is available in schools there is a MUCH lower drop-out rate among girl students. SO many girls drop out of school when they start menstruating because there aren't proper toilets! AH!!!!!!!!!

But ya I was traveling alone for the most part which was kewl but scary and I met a bunch of nice people! I basically was on the border of Ethiopia and Eritrea, NOT SAFE haha but I was with a big group so all g. Also was at another project in the west which is right next to South Sudan YIKES, lots of refugees in that region :( stupid war

So yeah my weekend update was that I SLEPT. Haha I got in at 8AM on saturday, fell asleep at noon and didn't get up till midnight. Then lumped/lazed around on Sunday, went on a walk, felt like a zombie, had dinner with Squeah Leah and then passed out again! So exciting haha NOT. Going camping with the man friend this weekend! Wooooooo wooods and hiking

Courtenay, Jale and Saide - how ARE YOUU?? Love you all.

YO YO my fine ladies!!

I am writing to you from sunny Utila, Honduras! Mostly just sunning and swimming these days :)
BUT I took up yoga since getting here and by "taking up yoga" I mean I got dragged to the first class and the instructor was SOO HOT I have been going pretty often. But you know me :)

I have taken up free diving since being here, which is basically diving with a single breath. A bit hard I must admit!

Kate and I met these Americans doing this sick documentary and now we want to bacisally tag along if they let us! We are going to corner one of the guys this afternoon :P

Will let you guys know how it goes!

Miss you like crazy and send all my love :)
