Dear all, 

We are in the final stage of the studio. Today we will take the mock presentation from the students and give them the final feedback on their presentation. The student will also submit their reports today at 13.30. 

Now, it is most essential that you to finalise your grading in this week itself. Today, you will be grading the students for their mock presentations. And on the the day of the final jury, you will be grading them for their final performance. That will be end of your final grading

To facilitate you, I am attaching the final marks record for every ward/groups. It shows the previous marks record of all your internal grading and the marks given by the jurors in previous stages. There are no proportionate weightage given to various stages in these sheets so far. So please be careful with that. Now, you need to give your grades in two stages (today and on Thursday) in such a way that it adjusts all the anomalies of the previous stages (if any). We have given the excel sheet to you so that you can calculate your own grading according to all the stages. 

Please make sure that you are grading according to the scales by which everyone is grading. I already have complaints of some faculty members giving too high or too low marks to their students. So please use your judgement by looking at the overall studio grading and the level of work in different groups. 

The final proportion of the all the stages of the juries/presentation is the following.

If there are any issues with any of these or with the excel sheet entries, then please mail me immediately. 

Kudos to Aniket and Mehrnaz for putting together these excel sheets. 

Final Jury: 

We will start at 9.30. The students should be ready by 9.15. I will circulate the final grouping of the jurors/venue etc by tomorrow.

Dear all,

I have a suggestion.  Instead of keeping tomorrow evening as the report submission deadline can we have it along with the PPT and A0 sheets on 30th evening?  This will allow them to have the PPT and report in sync, and perhaps, a few more hours on the report.  Some of the reports I saw, were no way near to the expected quality.

What do you all think?

I agree too. But let's wait for more responses. It will be easier to manage if all submissions are happening at the same time.

Right Rutul, whatever decision should be same for all. Anyway, they would keep working on everything till the last moment before submission, so I feel it is better if one thing (i.e. report) gets completed before.

I also agree with bhargav's suggestion. It would be good if they can keep everything in sync and submit it together.

Dear all, 

This is what we have circulated to the students for the final jury. 


The APS Ward Plan Report (1 copy A3 print) shall now be collected at 1700 hrs on Wednesday, 30-Oct-2013 along with your powerpoint presentation and A0 sheets (print).
Also, a CD/DVD with the following contents shall be kept ready by each sub-group:
1. APS Ward Plan Report (*.pdf)
2. Powerpoint presentation (*.pptx)
3. A0 sheets (*.jpg or *.tiff or *.pdf)
The AAs shall come to the studio at 1630 hrs and leave sharp at 1705 hrs.
You are advised to keep everything ready by 1630 hrs to avoid last minute rush.
