Hi there.

Trying to use aprs with the KISS emulation of soundmodem (v0.15).

The aprx config file shows:
<interface>
serial-device /dev/soundmodem0 1200 8n1 KISS
callsign $mycall # callsign defaults to $mycall
tx-ok true # transmitter enable defaults to false
</interface>

I think this is the interesting part. Other baudrate does not fix it.

Sometimes or some boots it works without a problem. Sometimes, after
reboot or after a restart of aprs the RX works fine, packages are
recieved, send to aprs-is, logged, logged as send by rf too. But they
are not send via the soundmodem device. They are send all at once when
i quit/kill/ctrl-c the aprx programm. All at once, one packet after
the other.

Strange?
I'm using aprx_1.99.420-1_i386.deb

Can you help?

Many thx

Hi, have hoy tried using ax25-device instead of serial-device??
For example:

<interface>
ax25-device $mycall
tx-ok true
</interface>

Of course that previously you need to attach the interface to the ax25
device using mkiss/kissattach accordingly.

Hope that this helps.

Yes, this is the next thing I am willing to try, the problem is my kernel is without ax25 support so i have to recompiule it and compile the modules. This is the point I am trying to complete since yesterday. Not compiling kernels every day so i have problems :)
