I've installed aprx on a linux box with a KPC9612 and VHF radio
attached accordingly. APRS digipeating and rx-igate is working ok. I
also want this to work as a regular (i.e. non aprs) digipeater. Is
that possible (I've read on the docs that aprx works as a digipeater
and I'm assuming a "normal" one)? In case that not: can anybody state
a digipeater (standard ax.25) program for linux (tried axdigi but not
worked). Thanks a lot!

It should be able to handle non-APRS AX.25 digipeating task too.
That feature has not really been tested, as we connect to node servers
via SSH only, and our (OH) regulations say that "no cryptography shall
be used over radio"...

Hi Matti, thanks for your answer

Here in Argentina it's also forbidden to send encrypted traffic over
the air.
Since we have very low traffic, the idea is to share one system
between aprs, digipeater and bbs. I was not able to make aprx to
digipeat any non-aprs traffic so I used another program to do the task
and keeping aprx for aprs work. By means of serial "pipes" I can
split the ax25 linux interface and get the tnc data to reach both
programs.
I think it would be grat that standard ax25 digipeating can be done
with aprx but I understand that the focus is aprs. Anyway thanks a
lot for your work!

Hope you have a Merry Christmas and happy new year!
