This data-binding approach looks very promising (isn't it based on that Bret Victor's demo, btw?). However I wondering how do you plan to implement... well.. conditional things. For example, to avoid such situation (in your slider example):

Constraining variables is on our to-do list. Yes, Apparatus is inspired by Bret's Drawing Dynamic Visualizations tool. Thanks for the report!
