వేయి పడగలు ఆంగ్లానువాదం

​నేను వేయి పడగలు ప్రారంభించాను గాని మొదతోలోనే ఆపేసాను, ఆ రోజుల్లో విశ్వనాథ గారి ఆలోచనలు ఛాందసంగా ​అనిపించి (కమ్యూనిస్ట్ ప్రభావం ☺ మరియు చలం పుస్తక ప్రభావం!) 

వయసు పెరిగాక మన ఆలోచన పరిధి మారుతుంది. విశ్వనాథ గారి తో  RCH స్వీయానుభవం చెప్పాక నా మనసు మారింది. ఇప్పుడు చదవాలని ఆతృత. 

రాజమహేంద్రి లో మంచి తెలుగు పుస్తకాలు దొరికేవి ఇప్పుడు తెలుగు పుస్తకాలు అమ్మే వాళ్ళ పరిస్థితి అంత బాగులేదు. దొరుకుతుందో లేదో!

ఇందులో ప్రస్తావించిన వెలిచాల కొండల రావు గారు ఆంధ్ర విశ్వవిద్యాలయం లో ఓ సహాధ్యాయికి నాన్నగారు.  ఇది తను పంపించాడు.

Dear reddy, Thanks for forwarding the review on veyi padagalu. I never tried to read that novel. But after listening to Dr Garikipati mentioning about Viswanatha and ramayana kalpa vriksham, now i think we should read veyi padagalu. I will try for the same when i go to Rajahmundry next week. I read a similar review recently in Sakshi newspaper. Somehow, i found it funny to have such a translated title which gave me an impression that even the translation of the book also will be equally more of a translation in word but not in spirit.
In any case, we can read Telugu. So let me at least procure a copy for now so that i may read it some time.

Johny, I agree with you - translations are a tough thing. It needs a really good skill to do a good job, especially between two culturally diverse languages. 

Yeah, I know about Bhadrudu's translation of Kalam's life and the award. I thought of meeting him last time. But schedule got too busy and couldn't meet him.

Do you prefer a telugu version or English one, Reddy ?

Johnson, Telugu is my fist choice. I think no matter how good an English translation is, it will never the be same as by Sri Viswanatha. It's like eating avakaya made by your own mother vs. something you buy at a Walmart in Portland.
