Stereotypes never result out of nothing ever. As much as we don’t like to stereotype, there are things we only relate to a certain time and place. Like black is to Goth and kurtas are tojournalists, rosogollas and maacher jhol is to Bengalis. But wait! This isn’t about food at all! Here we take a look at a typical Bengali household and can’t deny the presence of these 28 things. If you think we forgot to add something, do mention it in the comments section below.
1.Bata Shoes – If you want to get a feel of the typical Bengali atmosphere, visit a Bata store before Durga Puja.

I rarely had seen the interiors of a Bengali house. But during my stay in Kharagpur, there were strange nuances about Bengalis

They all said fish was vegetarian! And they consider fish head a delicacy.
Their average consumption of mishti (sweet) is 10x of rest of India. But, any self-control dissipates in front of their truly great tasting Rasgollas!!
Their movies are very slow and boring (despite my valiant effort to watch a few of them for their great themes, I was bored).

We have to admit though that they love their language, have a high level of intellectual curiosity (which manifests in having bookshelves!), and very vocal at the national level. On the other hand, we, the Telugu, spend more time bickering among ourselves and undermining our language (especially the intellectual crowd).
