Description
π APRS Net β a free, self-hosted APRS-IS gateway and live tactical map for amateur radio, with native companion apps for Android, iOS, Windows and Linux.
aprsnet.uk runs a standard APRS-IS server (port 14580), so it works with any APRS-IS client you already use β APRSDroid, Direwolf, YAAC, APRSIS32, Xastir, ESP32/LoRa trackers via UDP, etc. The companion apps add a live map, messaging, smart beaconing and weather tools on top, all kept in sync with your account.
πΊοΈ LIVE MAP
- Real-time station map with clustering and position trails
- Automatic classification: standard APRS, CWOP weather stations, LoRa trackers/iGates, MMDVM/DMR gateways, OGN gliders, AIS ships, APRS objects
- Weather stations show live conditions on the map β icon/colour changes for rain, snow, storm, wind, sun, cloud
- Tap any station for position, distance, last heard, path, comment, and (for weather stations) a full weather card: temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, gusts, rainfall, solar, UV, lightning
π¬ MESSAGING
- Full APRS messaging with delivery ticks and automatic ACKs
- Direct member-to-member messaging that bypasses APRS-IS entirely for instant delivery, toggle per conversation
- Conversation list and per-station threads, with selectable background themes
π SMART BEACONING
- Speed-adaptive beacon interval with corner-pegging on heading changes
- Runs as a foreground service so beaconing continues in the background
- Configurable comment, status text, and station type
π¦οΈ WEATHER
- Decodes standard APRS weather reports (temp, wind, gusts, rain, humidity, pressure, solar, UV, lightning)
- UK severe weather warnings
π GEO-FENCE ALERTS
- Define zones and get notified when any station, or a specific callsign, enters or leaves
π SYNCED ACROSS DEVICES
- Free aprsnet.uk account syncs message history, map filter preferences, message background theme, and geo-fence rules in real time across web, Android, iOS, Windows and Linux
π OPEN PLATFORM
- Standard APRS-IS feed β bring your own client
- WebSocket API (wss://aprsnet.uk/ws) for live packet feeds and TX, plus a REST API for station history/status, for anyone wanting to build their own tools on the data
