Hello,
My I-gate is showing as experimental probably because of what I am using. I am using a Raspberry Pie with Graig's, KM6LYW, Y-gate script. This is tagged to a Yaesu 200 and the factory cable. Is there a way to show that it is that radio or Linux open source for the gate? Call sign is VE6KEE-10
Thanks in advance,
Joel

Hi,

Therefore, it's "Experimental". However as far as I can tell, the purpose of this device identification field is not to expose which radio you have in front, but which software is doing the APRS processing. (Unless it's a device with built-in support and does both, of course.)

Maybe the author could get a proper device ID for that software: https://github.com/hessu/aprs-deviceid#adding-new-devices

Hi,

The APRS device ID allocation has moved to this new address as it became
a bit more official:
