My area seems to have few aprs digipeaters and igates. Is there any
way I can create a map of the aprs digipeaters and igates in my area
from aprs.fi?

Thanks.

Sorry, aprs.fi does not have such a thing yet. I've been thinking about
doing an "advanced search" function which might do it:

If you install APRSISCE/32 (http://aprsisce.wikidot.com/), it provides a
View / Transport / Digipeater and/or IGate which will show you only
those stations that have been observed to be acting in the appropriate
role (callsign in some packet's used section or callsign following a
q-Construct). The filter is not based on symbols, but on the actual
observed packet content, so it can take a while for a) the station to be
known and b) the station to have been observed acting in the role.

Also, you might want to check out my APRS Infrastructure graphs if
you're in North America. You'll find them at

http://tinyurl.com/APRSAct24

http://tinyurl.com/APRSAct00 (7 day accumulation)

A long-term plan for APRSISCE/32 is to merge the infrastructure
connecting lines directly into the client specifically for the
observations that you're wanting to do.

PS. APRSISC32 works under the latest versions of WINE as well.

Thanks Lynn and thanks for developing the APRSISCE software..

I installed APRSISCE and it confirmed that the local APRS
infrastructure is a bit sparse if you are using only an HT.
