Because the
aprs.fi app needs to be able to support deletion of data
uploaded by it, it creates stations in a different "namespace" in the
aprs.fi database. So, you can have multiple *different* WB0HBJ-10
stations. In this case there's two: one from the APRS-IS, the Samsung
Android WB0HBJ-10. And another one from the iPhone.
If you look up WB0HBJ-10 on the
aprs.fi app or web site, it will let you
choose from the two.
For example, if some other user of the
aprs.fi app would, without your
permission, transmit positions using the callsign-ssid of "WB0HBJ-10", it
would create a *third* station in the database. Those positions would not
appear in the track of your wb0hbj-10 station. If he deletes that station,
it will not delete data from either the track left behind by the Samsung,
or the positions uploaded by the iPhone. Splendid.
I'd recommend you to rename the iPhone to WB0HBJ-11 or WB0HBJ-5 for
example, or some other SSID which you're not using on some other device.
In the iOS app, at the bottom of the Beacon page, there's a Rename button,
which allows you to change its name to WB0HBJ-11. It will not create a new
station - the track already uploaded by the iPhone will actually be shown
when looking up the new callsign-SSID.
This is not possible for the regular APRS stations such as the aprsdroid
running on the Android, as that data is not authenticated on
aprs.fi and
aprs.fi does not know whether some user of the app or web site is the
actual owner/custodian of that callsign.
