Network Kiss TNC Manual Entry?

I read through the thread about direwolf KISS TNC using Bounjour or similar announcement advertising on the network, but I'm using a Kenwood TM-D700 attached to a serial to Ethernet adapter for putting KISS on the LAN. The adapter has no provision for announcing its presence in any way, so I was wondering if there was a way to get manual entry added to the iOS app?
