I am having lots of trouble loading the Google maps section of your page. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate with Firefox 50.0. Page loads ok, but the map doesn't load , just a pic of the car with antenna on it, Sta here for 30 minutes and no map today , 11-26-16.

Hi,

Could you open the Firefox developer console (hamburger menu button in the
top right corner -> Developer -> Web Console), then open aprs.fi, and see
if you get any *error* messages about downloads or syntax?

There are a couple of syntax optimisation warnings in the beginning, but
those are expected and not harmful.

Firefox 50 on Mac seems to work fine for me.

I get this:

This looks a bit like corrupted or truncated javascript being cached in
the cache of your browser, el() is a function in the code and it is
certainly defined in lib.js.

Could you try reloading aprs.fi now? I didn't really change anything, just
updated the timestamps on that file, which should cause your browser to
reload it.

Seems to be working now in Firefox. I tied Explorer and it worked before this, but I am not an Explorer fan. Thanks.

Well, I was wrong. STill this:

The problem seems to be in Firefox.

Hi !

After latest updates to Fedora 23 (64 bit) systems I got Firefox 50.0, too.
On kitchen laptop  aprs.fi opens but kills Firefox within 2-5secs after start. Always. Other pages that are normally used seem to work as before.

On hamshack laptop (Compaq mini) aprfi.does not load map. Only right side panel.
I tried to allow all at addon Noscript. No effect.. Finally removed whole addon. No effect.

After that I decided to see aprs.fi google group to see if someone else has same problem.
How ever I have removed all messages from mail and had to go to google web page.

But!  Groups google.com does not load. It just says: "You can use groups after you enable javascript and reload page."
As said NoScript is removed. And also checked now from about:config that javascipt.enabled has value true.

It seems that something is wrong with FF 50.0.  It was under 2 weeks from their last update and it seems that
this one still has (same?/other?) bug inside.

Happy to say that MIdori works ok on both pages aprs.fi and groups.google.com

Anyone else having mysterious effects with FF50.0 ??

Just checked and I'm running FF 50 here with no issues with anything that I know of.  Groups works fine as does aprs.fi's many features.

I also run FireFox 5.0. It has not crashed on aprs.fi, but does tell
me that it prevented the outdated plugin "Adobe Flash" from running on
the aprs.fi map page. When I allow the plugin to run, all seems well.

Just checked new Fedora updates and got 63 new ones.
Among them was Firefox 50.0.2.

Now aprs.fi is loading again ok with ham shack laptop and also google groups are loaded ok without "enable javascript"-notification.

Next thing is to restore addon "noScript", test it and then go downstairs and update kitchen laptop to see if it also starts to operate
normally on aprs.fi with FF50.0.2
