Hi,

I was recently testing an APRS tracker dashboard under my callsign E70AB and accidentally transmitted an incorrect packet where an object ("GSS") was sent as a station callsign instead of a proper APRS object.

Details of the transmitted station:

  • Callsign: GSS
  • Comment: GSS stanica Tuzla
  • Location: 44°32.15' N 18°39.21' E (JN94HM88JO)
  • Timestamp: 2026-04-09 12:06:19 CEST
  • Path: GSS>APRS via TCPIP*,qAS,E70AB
  • Positions stored: 1

This was a configuration mistake during testing. I attempted to remove it using an object kill command, but since it was transmitted as a station (not an object), that approach did not work.

Would it be possible to remove this entry from APRS.fi?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
E70AB

aprs.fi is an archive of things which happened on the APRS-IS, and it does
not currently support deletion of data which came in from the APRS-IS. If
it did have such a functionality, people could easily delete each other's
data, as there's no easy technical way for an user to prove, in an
automated way, to a web site, that the user is the owner of a callsign.

The old data will be deleted after a while automatically, like any other
bad or incorreft data that comes in.
