FAAPI Conference 2025
The mission of FAAPI, the Argentine Federation of English Teachers’ Associations, is to connect and support English Language Teaching professionals in Argentina and to foster continuing development and growth in the field of EFL teaching. FAAPI's annual conference, organised every year by one of its 21 Teachers' Associations, is a key academic event, which seeks to accomplish that mission. The 2025 conference, organised by APIT (Asociación de Profesores de Inglés de Tucumán), will bring ELT professionals from Argentina and other countries together to discuss and reflect upon the promotion and facilitation of language development in the 21st century. The conference will provide an interactive platform for attendees to examine the dimensions of oral and written interaction, mediation, and negotiation in the learners’ discursive practices. Aware of the richness of encounters in communication, English language educators will explore the impact of classroom practices, research, and technology in shaping interaction skills.
General enrolment is now open! Fees valid until July 10th.

Mindful Teaching: Making the WRITE Choices.
A workshop by Pat Zorio
This workshop addresses a fundamental pedagogical challenge: preparing students effectively for writing, a fundamental language skill. It will offer English educators a thoughtful approach to cultivating student engagement and improving written output.
This session will delineate a range of innovative pre-writing methodologies, including interactive games, oral argumentation and expressive performance exercises that will serve as cognitive and affective warm-ups.
The aim is to equip teachers with versatile resources to activate students´prior knowledge, foster creative ideation, and mitigate writing apprehension by exploring practical, evidence-based strategies to stimulate critical thinking and enhance linguistic fluency.

The Annual General Meeting held on April 26th determined the following fee between July 1st and November 30th:
$26000 for practising members.
$19500 for retired members and student members.
