Just wondering - will the App come back with Apple Silicon compatibility?

I’ve just uninstalled it after buying an Apple Silicon MacBook and got a warning about AppTrap being incompatible so uninstalled.  It’s been my goto uninstaller since 2009 so wondered if it was going to be upgraded or whether it is truly gone.  Such a shame that Apple don’t include this kind of uninstaller natively by now.

Hi John… like you I have used AppTrap in all my machines over the years, but a couple of years ago I migrated to another free utility called PearCleaner. I would have liked to keep using AppTrap, but after sending a couple of emails to the author and not receiving answers, I considered the project dead.

The problem is that PearCleaner has just been put "on ice" by the author because he doesn't have time to keep evolving it. I will continue to use it until it breaks (as I did with AppTrap) and the go to the other alternative that I know of: AppCleaner.

Please, try to contact the author of AppTrap and see if you get any answer. I am hoping that, if many of us do the same, maybe he will se the interest in his app and he may update it. I don't won't more functionality, just a universal or ARM native recompile, because I love AppTrap's simplicity and unobtrusiveness.
