keystore problem

Dear sir: 

   I first upload my AI apk to Google play then realized it must repackage ti with your AppToMarket. The problem is about the keystore, how can I use the original keystore which can be download for AI server?

   Google Play now doesn't let me upload the new .apk from AppToMarket, it says that an apk with the same package name is already existed, please choose it to "upgrade". But due to the keystore problem, I can't upgrade it either... I am pretty lost and don't know how to figure this problem.

You have to use the below  password and alias. Copy the AI keystore into a known folder, then in tab1 of AppToMarket, point to that path and put in the below password and alias. Then goto tab 2 and follow from there.

• Keystore password: "android"
• Key alias: "androiddebugkey"

Hello!

I have the same problem.

I have an AI app uploaded to market originally with App Inventor. I'd like to update it with the ApptoMarket program.

I downloaded my app's keystore file (android.keystore) and follow your instructions, but I had an error message when I try to sign the updated and generated "....new.apk" file. : 

8nov.2013_1532.18:  jarsigner: Certificate chain not found for: androiddebugkey.  androiddebugkey must reference a valid KeyStore key entry containing a private key and corresponding public key certificate chain.

18nov.2013_1532.18:  ERROR: There was error in signing your app

Plz help what the problem is?

I have exactly the same problem. 

how do i sign my app with the same certificate as previously, using the same keystore? 

because otherwise I have no way of publishing updates to the play store, pretty problematic!

Probably just me being dim

If you used AppToMarket to created your keystore, it means that you used tab 1, provided your invoke, keystore name and generated one. From there on, all you need to do, is to make sure that tab1 points to initial keystore that you generated and has the same user / password / alias. You don't need to re-generate new keystore.

I think its your path (below) that is causing the issue because it has special characters AND spaces. 

Try copying AppToMarket to a folder like c:\tools\AppToMarket and then try again
