I have AI2 Companion 2.25ai2 installed on my Galaxy Lite phone (Android 4.4.2).

I am trying the test version of Ai2LiveComplete (http://ai-hossein.appspot.com) in Firefox under Win 7.

I connect via QR code with no errors, but the phone screen is blank (all white) instead of showing the components that I have in the designer.

Any suggestions?

(I have used the MIT AI2 with Companion 2.24 successfully in the past).

Your version is correct, Can you try uninstalling and installing the .apk from here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5b44rWoeEG8WGlnME1sSHJKWlU&usp=sharing

REPLY TO:  M. Hossein Amerkashi:

Thank you for the AI2 Companion 2.25ai link on Google Drive.  That is where I originally downloaded it from.

This weekend I will reinstall it anyway, to see if that makes a difference.

Since I had no luck on my Galaxy Lite phone, I tried my Nexus 7 tablet instead.  This time, when I downloaded the AI2 companion from Hossein's Google Drive, it gave me ver. 2.24ai2 instead of 2.25ai2.

Same problem as before:  The online test server Ai2LiveComplete designer connects fine to the Companion app, but the screen on the tablet is blank (all white) instead of showing what is in the designer.

David.  You are definitely doing something wrong. Using my phone i just went to the Google drive,  then downloaded the .apk directly onto my phone and installed it.  It says version 2.25ai2

You are right.  I do not know what I did wrong, but I certainly did something wrong.  The app was called Ai2LiveComplete, but the version was 2.24ai2.  I uninstalled and redownloaded, and got the correct version this time:  2.25ai2.

But I still get the same problem -- a blank, white screen in the Companion.  The behavior is the same on both my phone and on my tablet.

I am not sure what to try next.

I SOLVED IT!

Since I had the same problem on the phone and the tablet, and since no one else seemed to have the problem that I was experiencing, I concluded that it was probably something in my app.

I first tried making one component at a time not visible.  Still not working.  I then tried deleting one component at a time.

It was the SpinnerPicker.  If there was a SpinnerPicker on the screen, then the entire screen in the Ai Companion was blank white.  None of the components showed at all.

Thanks for letting us know.
The Spinne should be used instead of SpinnerPicker and File should be used instead of FileManager.
The demo server has it for backward compatibility.
The full online version, does not include those two obsolete components.
The demo server is only for testing and should not be used to develop full app because it may not be exportable to full-online version.

Thank you for your great support, Hossein.  And thank you for clarifying the use of Spinner and File in lieu of obsolete components.

At the moment, I am just playing with components in order to understand their capabilities, but I will be subscribing to the full online version as soon as I am ready to plunge into my app development.

Peace & Light,
David
