Team Drive Limitations

We have noticed that you cannot email collaborators or send the doc as an attachment from the team drive. This seems to be a rather odd considering the concept of team drive was ease in collaboration. Anyone know the reasoning? Any thoughts on workarounds? This could be a deal breaker for our district.
