What is AppScale now? I mean the GTS, anyone still using it?

Hello from this Github issue, https://github.com/AppScale/gts/issues/3230 it is mentioned that AppScale (which is not AppScale GTS) is not maintained by AppScale (the company) anymore. 

Here are my questions:

1. Are there any production AppScale GTS still running either both in private and public cloud? 

2. If yes, which version is the most stable that can run production load, and which version is the most documented that even without support from AppScale (the company) it is safe to assume that it can be deployed to public cloud environment, e.g. Linode. 

3. Which Google App Engine SDK is the most supported that works with the most stable AppScale GTS version. 
4. Will this community still be geared towards discussing AppScale (the GTS) or it is now more on the AppScale (the Amazon region)?
