| | | AppScale 1.8.0 |
| We just got back from Google I/O on Monday and are pleased to have a new Trello board for the upcoming AppScale 1.8.0 release. In particular, we're looking to upgrade the version of Google App Engine that we support to 1.8.0 for Python and Java, and add in the ability to deploy automatically to Google Compute Engine. We're also looking to give you a web UI that displays more info about your app, including the number of requests per second your app receives and statistics about the Kinds your app stores. We've just merged in Python App Engine 1.8.0 today, so give our testing branch a try!

As usual, we had a great turnout at our IRC Office Hours. Here's a transcript of our chat, in which we talk about upcoming events that we'll be at. One event coming up pretty soon is the Santa Barbara Cloud Meetup group, which will be hosting Chief AWS Evangelist Jeff Barr on Tuesday, so if you're anywhere near downtown Santa Barbara, come join us! We already have over 70 people signed up, but the more the merrier! It's also a ways out, but in July we'll be talking about AppScale at OSCON, so mark your calendars!
That wraps up issue #13 - thanks for reading! | | |
