x-plane 11.5 no GPS signal

New X-Plane user and attempting to setup Avare.  On X-plane i have network setting to ip address of samsung tab A port 49002.  On Tab A internal GPS is off.  In Avare i have GPS setting to wifi port 49002 and sources to all available.  Tab A is plugged in a power source not on battery.  Confirmed both computer and tablet on same wifi network.  There must be a setting I am missing.  Any suggestions??

Download and install the Avare External I/O Plugin on your tablet.  Set the dropdown in the I/O Plugin to XPlane 49002 and check listen.  Start Xplane.  Your network settings in Xplane sound ok.  Start a flight on the ground anywhere.  You should see data coming into the Avare I/O plugin.  Start Avare.  Set Preferences>GPS to IO Module only and External WiFi port to 4000.  That should do it.

If you are not able to get data as mentioned by Kreig you can try in Avare>GPS Position Source (All available), External WiFi port > 49002 and in the Avare IO> Xplane>49002>Listen,  and in XP11 1151 have the settings as in  the pic with the Send from>Legacy 49002 Broadcast  All. Those settings work for me on Tab A.

At times there may be some delays in updates but it will eventually catch up.
