Glide ring augmented with elevation

Hi All

Version 80 of AvareX will have the glide ring augmented with elevation. The glide ring is shown in blue.

Factors used for calculating glide ring:

- Elevation
- Calculated ground speed in all directions
- Temperature
- Turn angle penalty
- First Aircraft’s sink rate


You should use margins for safety.

This is really interesting and I'm looking forward to testing it out in-flight with some best glide tests!

Any chance you'd consider making the ring color & line style closer to the colors used by some, uhhhh, other leading EFB apps?

I can look into changin colors. Better is to have a outline of white for the path to stand out.

Where do you live ? Won't be interesting without mountains. And if you can record using legacy app. I can use that for testing .

Where is this glide ring?

I do live adjacent to the Rockys so this is pretty interesting. Please enlighten me.

This will come in the release 80 and you need to download elevation maps for it to work.
