The ZZV airport info is missing on the sectional. I tried deleting and redownloading the Cincinnati VFR section, but it's still missing. I haven't seen this with any other airport yet.

Bill,

I looked at ZZV and I see what you mean, I am pretty sure that the problem comes from the fact that there is a sectional chart overlap in that area and because of how the charts are "stitched" together sometimes causes data to be lost at the seams.

There might be some manual tweaking that can be done when the charts are generated so that the airport info is shown, but I don't expect this will happen until the next cycle.

I only had Detroit downloaded and I could see ZZV. I then downloaded Cincinnati, all still was good with ZZV. Deleted Cincinnati and only had Detroit left, now ZZV is gone. Re-downloaded Detroit and it's back.

One of the quirks of the download system is that each download has a manifest of its tiles.  Where sectionals overlap, the manifest for each has the overlapping tiles.  When you delete one sectional, it deletes all files listed in the manifest (including overlapping tiles for the next sectional).  This sounds like what has happened.

I'm still looking at ZZV as it looks like the trim lines could be improved.

... and now we collectively owe Pete for his hour's worth of quick work (leaving him 15 minutes for lunch).  Not that he'll ever see it in his paycheck, but the free use of Avare incurs a moral obligation to contribute whatever we can to defray its expenses.  I recommend a modest PayPal recurring debit, even though I haven't flown a single hour in over a year.  I want to ensure that Avare is still healthy when I get back in the air.

Many thanks Pete.
And a quick word to the OP (or anyone else that runs into this problem):
Even though the text info for ZZV airport is missing/hidden from the sectionals display on the Map due to the tile "stitching" thing, there are some workarounds that might be helpful whenever/wherever this is encountered:
1).  One way to find that airport fairly quickly on the Sectional Map display, is to simply create a flight Plan to that airport i.e. list ZZV and add it to the Plan, and make the Plan "Active" and then hey presto, follow the cyan line to the end and there the airport is!
2).  For airport info e.g. CTAF, elevation, max runway length etc., just long press on the airport on the sectional map, and in the pop-up ribbon menu at the top of the screen click "CSup" and the info will then be displayed in a relatively easy to read listing of the data that is in the Chart Supplement for that airport.

It takes a lot longer to write about how to do it, than the few seconds it takes to actually do either of these steps!  So I hope that's helpful.

Thanks to all who have created and continue to maintain and improve this excellent resource for us aviators!
