Samsung Tab A 10.1" and no GPS signal

I'm a long time user and lover of Avare.  I've had it on 2 tablets and a couple phones.  I just bought a new Samsung Tab A, 10.1" and installed Avare and I'm having issues.  I open Avare and get "No GPS Signal."  I've left it outside to see if it will lock on, but no luck.  Google maps is working just find.  I've deleted and reinstalled Avare.  Location is on, in the tablet.  It won't lock on to my present position.  Any help appreciated.

It's possible there's a problem with the GPS receiver in your Tab.
gMaps works w/o good satellite GPS location, because it can also use the
lower quality cell and wifi triangulation. Because it's for aviation,
Avare only uses the GPS. I've found that my low-end 7" Tab gets GPS
location sooner with power saving Off, though it may be different on
your model.

You could send us a screencap image of the Tools screen, and maybe
something there would offer further info.

Thanks, I'm back in business!  I did "Go to Android Settings->Apps->Avare->Permissions then enable all permissions."  Locked on ASAP.
