Weird black bar between maps after new phone and map downloads

I'm using a PIXEL 10 XL (new phone) and when viewing the big vfr map and zooming in, I get a weird bar.  I've loaded in the same maps (SC, NC) and there are no display errors on my Samsung A9 tablet (or prior Samsung S22 phone).

I think the avare app came over during the transfer to new phone, then I downloaded the latest maps.

Suggestions?

download the next chart cycle for the sectional charts as the problem was fixed.

Same here. It says download chart Northwest. I've downloaded it, uninstalled it, reinstalled it. No luck

I am seeing the same issue, except instead of the black bar I am seeing the standard street map within that bar. Changing the zoom level changes the position of that bar, so I don't think this is due to some issue with the underlying chart data itself. But I don't experience the problem in my flying area (EC).

It is indeed an underlying chart data issue; zoom level changes the aspect of the missing tiles gap.  If you set the OSM/Topo layer slider transparency to zero and max Charts transparency you'll probably see the black (absence of any basemap).

To fix: toggle to Next Cycle (bottom left of Downloads page) and download your charts (NE, SE for reported issue) will resolve the issue.  The charts will be 2513 and marked in red on Downloads (future), and the red "I" on map page will complain, but the map gaps will be gone.  Assume there's some reason not to fix/re-run current 2512 cycle chart data and re-download 2512.

where is "next cycle" on the downloads page?  On my page there is a list of downloads, you expand sectional and it offers  you further downloads.  You can toggle get/update/delete.  THATS IT.

Again, no "next cycle option" - I'm on android pixel 10.  I assume at the true 'next cycle' 12/25 I can then download the updated charts and hopefully the black bar goes away..

Look at the bottom left corner. Touch "this cycle" to toggle it to "next cycle".

DOES. NOT. EXIST.  on my download page:

Across the top:  GET UPDATE DELETE and MAP buttons.   Rest of the page are expandable green downloads.

In the PREFERENCES  section for DOWNLOADS there is an option CHART DOWNLOAD CYCLE and from there you can select CURRENT PREVIOUS OR NEXT - WARNING! Downloads may fail indefinitely.

So I can go that route.

YEP, 2513 now shows in my downloads (in red, since its ahead of schedule) but the VFR map BLACK BAR is ... GONE !

Thank you to devops for making this free program.  Now how about we make the notams translated and put the important ones (RUNWAY CLOSURES, LIGHTS OUT) in red?  

How about we do an auto translate on the PIREPS too?
