I am not a foreflight user, so take this for what it is. Examples of bells and whistles include runway proximity alert (pops up a warning when you are approaching a runway while taxiing), traffic pattern adviser (draws out the traffic pattern and entry), flight profile view (draws the elevation profile for the selected route), ability to sketch over approach plates... It also shows an airport info tab extracted from the chart supplement page (such as phone numbers to call for clearance, nonstandard pattern altitudes etc..)
Having said that, please don't try to add these features and make AvareX bloated and cluttered like Foreflight. The great thing about AvareX is that it is clean and crisp. I keep telling foreflight users that all I need is a moving map with a little icon that shows where I am. Everything else is noncritical for flight.
