Hello I am new to Avare and new to this forum so please excuse me if I do something wrong.  I have this app on my Lenova tap A 10 and it looks great.  My problem is that I am trying to use the 3D without any luck.  When I press 3D I get a black screen that says in the bottom right download elevation chart.  When I go to Map>menu>download>Terrain I get nine options to download elevation and then 9 more to download Shaded relief.  I have no clue what these options are.  I live in the Dallas/Ft worth area and none of the two letters after Elevation seem to indicate D/FW.  I get NW,NE,NC,SE.SC,SW,AK,HI.PR.  Have no clue what they mean.  When I go to simulation>3D I get the same download elevation chart.

So after all of that how do I get the the Terrain/Elevation maps for the D/FW area?

thank you in advance

They are:

North West
North East
North Central
South East
South Central
South West
Alaska
Hawaii
Puerto Rico

I don't have mine with me right now so I can't double check but SC (South Central) should be the one for Texas.

I am located in Ontario Canada. Any idea which one I should download? I get the same elevation chart required when selecting 3D

Perhaps here? https://www.maptown.com/Ontario_Topographic_Maps_s/2312.htm
gives the proper # or you can download some of the 88 topo maps in Avare under downloads....as I have never downloaded any Canadian maps I do not know if the numbers at this site correspond to the numbers, 1-88 in downloads/topographic maps (88) but again you might try download some or all of those, find Ontario, then dump the rest....as a newbie here this is just a WAG from me.

Hi Alan.
You Must have a Destination selected, upper left under Next should be an airport Id in your area that has the proper charts for your area, and what you downloaded should wor.
The best way to avoid problems is to use the device as you you were actually in the air / flying. Have a good GPS signal, Create a Flight Plan, in Simulation, Enable it... TV
