I am seeing a significant lag in my GPS position updates - sometimes 10 or 15 seconds, which is significant if you are flying an instrument approach, or threading an airspace boundary.

In the classic Avare, there was an option for a faster GPS refresh rate. It also used to flag a warning if the GPS position was lost. AvareX does not have that refresh rate option, and I am not sure if it flags a warning if GPS position is lost. I have not done a side-by-side comparison on the same platform, but it seems like Avare seems to be running a bit smoother than AvareX on my Motorola phone.

Anyone else experiencing this?

To get same speed as Avare you will need to turn off all layers except Chart, Nav, and Circles layer. Let me know.
