I just received my   Flightbox going  and from my ground location I can see numerous traffic hits regularly.
Now for the weather part, I do not think I am near a ground transmitter, but in either case, what settings in Avare should be turned on to receive live ADSB Weather?
Does it show up like the weather overlay "squares" from internet I do for  downloaded preflight weather? Or, are there specific settings to get live ADSB weather I must do to get Avare to provide live  wx data enroute? Thank you .

Gary:
Since it appears you have the I/O working, to receive live ADSB weather you'll need,
1. To be at sufficient altitude to receive a ground station.
2. Set up AVARE as follows,
Touch the icon directly above MAP, at the bottom left, on the map (home) page.
Touch PREFERENCES, top box in the left column,
    Touch Weather,
Touch SELECT LAYER TYPE, and touch 50% or opaque, depending on your preference.
    Touch USE ADSB WEATHER,
Touch your phone/tablet BACK icon two times to navigate back to the AVARE map (home) page,
Touch the icon directly above MAP,
Touch the NEXRAD, or METAR, or NO LAYER, the second box in the right column, and touch NEXRAD,
Touch the map to clear the settings options.
You should now be set up to receive ADSB weather.

The weather will display similar to this image from the AVARE site on GOOGLE PLAY

I'm trying to make ADSB Nexrad weather so to see the chart data under heavy weather.  Looking at the steps below by Dennis to Gary it would be >Menu> Preferences>Weather> Select layer type.  I do not have a "layer type" option under weather.  I have all 3 boxes checked. (Use ADSB weather, Translate weather, Label ADSB metars)  However, I do have a layer type under the nexrad box.  Options: no layer, metar, nexrad and plate.  No percentage or opaque options.

Hi Timothy.
Menu >Preferences>Display>Select layer type should get you what you need. TV
