Is there a way to export my Avare flight plans?  I do my primary Avare navigation on my tablet, but I want to use my phone as an Avare backup without having to manually put in the flight plan again.

Tnx,

You should be able to save them to your Google drive and then reload them into another device, look under Preferences, Application State, and the "Sync Data" option.

I now have more than one device so might do planning on one and then share (export) to another.

You wrote "Preferences, Application State, and the "Sync Data" option" but there is no Sync data option shown, just edit account, distance unit, use dynam..., blink and show tips.

I do have the Tab set to back up and there is a Google account set up to sync.

What am I missing?

The feature to sync to google drive was removed due to changes in google drive around that time.

Currently there is no way to sync between devices.

Understood Jeff so no way to export in a manual way?

Thank you,

Might be doable if both devices are "rooted" as you would have direct access to the files used by Avare, but rooting etc is beyond the scope of this list.

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but what I do is export a flight plan from skyvector in .gpx format. Skyvector will email it to you. Then drop that file into the com.ds.avare folder. You can set the folder  locationin Preferences. I find this method easier than creating a flight plan on the Android screen (which you cannot share between devices anyway)

Thanks for the tip Andrew - that seems to work - I might dabble with changing the file location so I don't have to manually move the file after I download it.
