I've downloaded most recent version of AvareX (as of May 2, 2024) for Android and for Windows.   This is an ISSUES report.

Android:  AvareX does not fully open on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) running Android version 9.  Instead, all I get is a completely white screen that does not develop into anything else, even after waiting several minutes.

Windows 64 bit:  Flight Planning page is difficult (impossible?) to use.  Right side of the page is truncated just after "UPT" - can't see anything to the right of that; double-bars to the far right of waypoints don't bring up choices; can't move waypoints up or down; or delete them.  Doesn't 'feel' like the Android Avare version of PLAN.

AvareX is not Avare compatible in flow. It's a new app. Avare Plan is very different from AvareX plan. You can do everything you just need to drop Avare finger memory and use it like a modern app.

Kim,

I believe the Galaxy Tab A (2017) that you are referring to is a Samsung model SM-T380, right now this model has memory issues, running out of memory, hopefully this will be an issue that can be resolved with some optimizations in the near future.

I don't know if it's relevant to your experience with the Tab A, but
when I last installed an early Beta release it took many minutes before
anything *seemed* to be happening. I gave up, then later with more time
tried again and after a *long* wait things gradually started showing up.
Once fully installed, it was pretty snappy but the initial install
took far longer than I'd been used to on the phone I was using (don't
recall now what it was).

Anyway, you might try again when you can leave it online and go do
something else. If you do, please post an update. Tomorrow I'm going
to try it on my old S7 on Android 8 and (if it installs) try to remember
to time it.

Hi Jeff;  yes, my older Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) described above is the Model SM-T380.
I've just gotten a new Samsung Galaxy Tab A Lite; no problem installing and initiating AvareX on that....
