Does AvareXl connect with Xplane sim as the legacy Avare? If so, how?

Yes and no, I think it's easier now. You have to go into X-Plane settings then Network.
Find the IPhone, Ipad and external apps and expand it
Click the button to add connection
Input the IP address of where AvareX is
That should do it. This will pass GPS and ADS-B info if you also have something like Live Traffic running on X-Plane.
