What??? What is happening here? Due wx I have not flown in some days so did not notice this. If in fact different/new procedures are required to access ADSB (StratuX, in my case) why wasn't a heads up given to users. I wouldn't have known this and on my next flight would have wasted time and effort in frustration trying to get my ADSB up and working while burning up time and fuel in the run up area (as mentioned by another poster who lost his flight trying to deal with this). Likely unsuccessfully and having to fly without it.
I just now went to IO as mentioned above, tools is gone, and I see what the poster is talking about. I wouldn't have gone there otherwise. I see 4000 selected in a box, another box labeled listen---is this supposed to be checked? or something, a save button (check it?) and another button marked out.bin. No idea what that is...it sure would have been nice to get some info on changes required to use ADSB, if this is what is occurring, in order to properly access and use ADSB on various devices. And which buttons are supposed to be checked or whatever....what are the procedures.
I am not sure if this is a bug that only affects a few as there are only a couple of posts or if this is a big change that affects all users but IMHO this amounts to a safety issue and some sort of heads up should have been given if in fact ADSB would not have been accessible with the 'usual' procedures.
Maybe I missed some msgs or some heads up from Avare. Often problems turn out to be something I messed up, perhaps this is the case here. I won't fly for a few days so I haven't been able to check this out in the acft but I can not understand a change like this without some sort of notification to users---it doesn't seem like the Avare I know.
