Hello
I was preparing to buy an inexpensive tablet essentially dedicated to run Avare. If I am to switch to AvareX, should I reconsider this? Should I have more than 4GB to run AvareX?
Thanks!

Depends how many layers you want to enable at the same time.
For a few layers everything will work smoothly but with intense layers like vector maps, wind vectors, radar, weather all turned on together, cheaper tablet will be sluggish.

I would add that it's not just about memory but computing power so inexpensive tablets are likely not very powerful. I have an old Samsung Tab A SM-T290 which has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 Quad-core 2.0 GHz and it works just 'OK'. This is a circa 2019 tablet and I'm sure new modes are more powerful. Go for faster processor and brightest screen you can find, it will be worth it.

I've found it useful to have multiple devices running, with different
things turned on in each. Usually an old tablet for the big picture, and
my current phone for the more hardware-demandiing stuff. Sometimes, like
in a small cockpit, more than one phone, even if only running out of
sight within reach. it's also been handy the few times one or the other
would lose signal or glitch out in some way.
