Avare PFD Galaxy Tab A Stratux request intro primer

My Avare works just super for what I need with weather/traffic/TFR's/plates and a few other whistles and bells.  Thought I would play with  the PFD feature out of curiosity, with no results.  Tried on both the tablet and my Samsung S6 phone.  Comes up frozen in flight and stationary.  Is there a primer/basics on how to interface/initialize/calibrate?  Latest Stratux update, Avare updated on tablet and phone.  Need a place to start.  Reviewed "PFD' search on the Forum but must have missed something.  Stratux has the AHRS chip and GPS.  Thanks in advance-
