Due to ongoing computer and website updates, the current in-app Help
section of Avare has a broken link to the Canada TPC Grid Map. This map
is only useful if you want to download the TPC map for a specific area
in Canada. These maps are old, and of course are NOT intended for actual
navigation there. Attached is the image file of the Canada TPC Grid Map
that helps in deciding which TPC map covers a given area.
Why No Canadian Charts In Avare:
Avare is not able to include legal aviation charts and data for flight
in Canada while remaining a free app. The Apps4Av focus is the free,
open source Avare app for legal flight in the U.S. using free FAA charts
and data. Avare retains the ability to display the TPC charts for Canada
as an adjunct to the legally required fee-based charts and data
available in paper form or on fee-based apps.
