Good afternoon all.  Is anyone still using the NooElec R820T NESDR Mini for ADSB in?
I used it successfully for a few years with a Samsung Tab E 7" tablet, but now it has stopped working.  If I attach the NESDR Mini and open ADSB Pro I get the following message: "No supported USB dongle found.  Make sure your Android device supports OTG".  I am not aware of any settings that I changed, but there may have been an automatic update that changed a setting.
I purchased a 7" Lenovo tablet and installed Avare and ADSB Pro.  If I use the tablet by itself while flying, it works fine.  If I plug in the NESDR Mini and sit on my deck, I can see all the traffic going into EWR just fine.  However, if I try to use the ADSB Pro in conjunction with Avare while flying, everything freezes up.  The moving map doesn't move, and no traffic shows up.  I'm wondering if perhaps the Lenovo tablet does not have a fast enough processor, or not enough RAM?

Can anyone that is using the NESDR Mini with Avare or AvareX successfully please advise what tablet you are using.  My cockpit is cramped, and really the 7" size is what I would prefer.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob

Happy to dig into this with you. Lets first confirm the Avare ADSB Pro hardware setup. Can you please clarify, the Samsung Tab shows the "No supported USB dongle found" message, but on the Lenovo 7" it works and you see traffic in Avare ADSB Pro? If not, please install Avare ADSB on a separate Android device, like your phone and plug in the dongle.

Regards, Mike
