I uploaded an overview video of AvareX to Youtube. It ended up being a little longer than I expected, but think it may help new users. Feel free to let me know of any corrections that could be made. Sorry about my monotone voice. The link will be below.

Thanks for putting this video together! It answers a number of questions that I had.
I wish the developers had given the users a bit more individual control of certain display elements, specifically traffic displayed. I was use to the old Avare which showed traffic from a wide area both horizontally and vertically, and I miss seeing that on the screen. I understand that showing all traffic in densely populated/ high traffic areas can introduce way more clutter on the screen than what most users would like to see, but in sparsely populated areas that isn't too much of a concern, and a majority of the country is a more sparsely populated area. For that reason I would like to see some user adjust-ability in what traffic is displayed. Have the 10 mile & 3000 +or - horizontal/vertical distance be the default, but have a sub menu on on the traffic tab for user adjustable vertical and horizontal distances, as well as traffic symbols for users to meet their individual comfort levels.
If you can make that possible, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Thank you so much for the video!!!  I was an Avare user from the git-go.  AvareX does make a lot of things "automatic" but functionality is more complex.  I asked for help writing a user manual but got no response.  Maybe everyone is is in the same boat ..... "don't know enough".  You took the time to fully explore AvareX and make the video.  I honestly am indebted to you .... I learned a lot.  Thank you for your time and effort, I'm sure I'm only one of many.

This is an awesome video. Don't know how you figured everything out yourself. Thank you.

I agree.  This would also greatly aid users with asserting/troubleshooting that ADS-B traffic is working before seeking help from the forum.  For example, a working stratux will typically "see"1090 traffic from airliners overhead even when far from a ground-based ADS-B tower (UAT) or other aircraft close-by.  But because of the AvareX 10nm/3000ft static filtering, there's no indication/display on the AvareX map.  And no indication of the AvareX reception from the ADS-B provider (like the IO/WiFi tab in legacy Avare).  This often confuses users who then seek help assuming they are not WiFi connected or their ADS-B provider (stratux) isn't working, etc.

Joe,

I've added your video to the Google Playstore, it should show up once Google finishes their review.

I"ll look to update the other software stores and add your video there if I can as well.

Thank you for your help!
