Nice photo! Glad the ONC came in handy.
Pete
I recently got home from 2 weeks of flying in a Cessna 180 from Montana to Anchorage and back. Since Avare doesn't have the Canadian sectional charts, we used Foreflight and paper charts for navigation. However, I did download and use the Canadian ONC World charts and found them VERY useful. The ONC charts have more detailed topographic info than what is shown on the sectional charts and was especially useful when following the "Trench" route to Alaska. It helped us many times to make more informed decisions in the valleys, knowing what kind of terrain was around the next bend.
Thank you to the Avare team for keeping this info online, even when the official NavCanada charts are not available. It was a great backup resource to have in the cockpit and helped us complete the trip safely!
