I created a flight plan the other day, a flight I have flown many times.
I asked here how to set an offset from a airport or navaid, and that worked.

Yesterday, I looked and the flight plan, which I had saved, was not there to load. Odd.
So I recreated the plan, named it.
Today I loaded that plan, and today the name is not the name I named it. It's scrambled.
It was Kful Khii
Today is says Kick Khii. I would never have named it that.

Well, that was interesting. I just saved the plan, and it changed the KICK KHII.
Right before my eyes.

I changed it back and saved it as KFUL to KHII and it seems saved.

I am trying to find a way to change the name but it seems to me that the name of the sole flight plan I have created has been saved wrong.
I can't see how that could happen.

Hmm.

Hi Steve.
You may have the type ahead / help turned On? Try to turn it Off and let us know. TV

I went through the settings on the UI page but I didn't see type ahead or help to configure.
Can you tell me more?
I deleted the flight plan that had the bogus name, I have one saved with the correct name.
I will see if anything reoccurs.

Hi Steve.
In your device, not Avare, when you type something it tries to help you to complete the word, I am not sure what they call call it exactly, it would seem that each manufacturer calls it something else, in the old days we called Type ahead, Predictive Text, Smart type? TV

I'm sure that's not it, because the way that works is as you type with the keyboard it tries to guess what you are typing, but in general you have to tap on the word for your entry to change to that word. I wouldn't have done that if I was typing KFUL.

OK, I tried it, and it just did the same thing and it IS predictive text. Odd. I will have to watch out for that. I stand corrected. Oops.

On all my devices the appropriate name often contains four letters. In
the spirit of the meaning you ascribe above it could also be referred to
as something like: "When you text 'Hello' obviously you'd prefer your
device to say 'Hell no' to your mother."

Actually, on my phone it *often* changes things long after I've
completed a sentence. Sometimes I manage to catch and correct it just
before hitting Send on a text. I'd turn it off but it's often helpful,
and completely crazy just rarely enough to keep me using it. :/

Something I've wondered about is whether there's corrupted memory or
some quirk in your particular device. Doesn't seem that anyone else
here has experienced the specific issues you've described. I sure
haven't, fwiw.
