Hi,

I have used avare and recently discovered avarex. Thank for avarex.

I couldn't find data export/import or sharing. Now that avarex is available on multiple platforms, share data across multiple devices would be a good feature to add. Create plan on my laptop and share data with my tablet would be a great help. Other is to share configuration settings.

Thank you for a great product.

Can someone provide step-by-step instructions to successfully share flight plans from one device to another? If the mechanism is found in Documents, I am unable to see how this works. As usual there is no AvareX Help file to explain it.

Share is not supported on Linux. Only Mac and Windows.

Thank you. Where can I find docs/guide to setup avarex development environment on Linux?

Welcome. It's same as the one documented in google flutter docs. There is the Linux docker container config under .GitHub folder that you can use for versions.

For "Linux docker config", are your referring to workflows/snap yaml?

Thanks for pointers.

I received a response from Bradley Spatz with his Android document sharing process (See below). My devices are all iOS and his email process did not work for me. However, I was successful using AirDrop between my iPad and iPhone. AirDrop automatically saved the file from the iPad into a shared iCloud folder accessible across all my iOS devices. On the iPhone when I hit import the iCloud folder immediately opened and there was the user.db file. Once selected all my flight plan data transferred in. Glad I was able to accomplish this. Thank you Bradley.

I sync AvareX data between my Android devices and can export the user database (user.db) from Menu, Documents, User Docs; then Share to send user.db by email.  On target device I save attachment and then Import.  Works for me.  Some folks "share" via Google Drive (I think), but "share" via email seems more widely implemented across platforms (trade-off of multi-platform approach with Avarex via Flutter framework).

On Windows, the user.db file lives under C:\Users\_your_username_\Documents\avarex\.

BTW, the user.db (a SQLite database, very portable across systems) includes flight plans, aircraft, preferences, etc.

Good luck, and Blue Skies!

On Linux, after building avarex, I found out that user.sb is stored under ~/Documents/avarex/ I just made it available to my phone, start avarex on phone and import.

I have yet to test this process with snap package.

Thanks

So desktop is easy in my opinion.

Avarex snap package for Linux also stores all the data in ~/Documents/avarex/ folder. I can just copy user.dv or even maps from this folder to any other device where it's accessible or import user.db.

Thank everyone.
